Clink & Mingle

Privacy

This is a plain-language summary of how Clink & Mingle handles your information. We'll expand it into a full policy as the product opens up more widely.

What we collect

To plan and run an event, organizers enter guest details (such as names, and optionally email, phone, dietary notes, and seating). Guests may upload photos to an event they were invited to. This information is used only to operate that event for its organizer.

Analytics & session recording

We use PostHog to understand how the organizer app is used and to improve it. We record pageviews and a small set of explicit usage events — we do not use click/keystroke autocapture, and we do not store your IP-based location. Session replay (used to find and fix problems) masks everything you type, so names, emails, and other text you enter into forms are never recorded. Public guest pages (photo uploads, RSVP, shared albums, seating views) are not tracked at all. We use this to improve the product, not to sell your data.

Who can see event data

Each event's data is visible to its organizer and anyone they explicitly share it with. Public share links (seating, photo upload, run sheet) show only the limited information needed for that purpose. We don't sell personal information.

Data location & retention

Data is stored with our hosting and analytics providers. Event data is kept while the event is active in an organizer's account; organizers can delete events.
